blogging is a lot of work

it has been over two months since i have been on this blogdizzle.  like you care, but my work gets super busy in november and december.  most of my clients renew their damn insurance jan 1st.  hence the lack of me on here.  and i don't know if i really like it yet.

originally i wanted to post recipes like gwyneth does on goop, but i keep forgetting to take pictures as i cook.  it's hard when it all comes together and my hands are olive oiled up and i am trying to not F it up.  i will try better.

until then, here is a photo of some Christmas decor i made.
- get jar
- empty jar
- scrape of label
- tell your husband you need a drill bit to drill into glass -get into an argument on whether this can be done.  show him the blog i found this on (picture has a mother having her child demonstrate)
- drill hole - it's not as easy as the mother made it look - our hole will cut your fingers bad. not kid friendly.
- string in single end lights  - found at Big Lots (note: Big Lots is scary)

TV console. it's floating

walker is an architect (obvi).  i knew he was talented when it comes to design, but had NO IDEA he could actually DO and MAKE the things that are in his OCD head. i guess when he was little he saw his grandpa build an apartment complex with his bare hands (so Montana), which is why he is fearless when it comes to building. he also said that is favorite pro football team is the Saints, because when he lived in Louisiana his mom would take him to watch practice - never lived in Louisiana (it was his sister).  he exaggerates, but i guess the grandpa story is true, which is good, because he is remodeling our house and we get amazing pieces of furniture like this... it's floating.

this is a test...

so - my parents are amazing cooks (like you care), i'm getting into it, i need a place besides above my oven to save the "keepers". my husband is turning our mid century ranch into a home.  his work needs to be shared - it is amazing.  we like good food and love to travel, i want to remember where we have been. blogs are the new photo albums, no?  i will spare you with the life updates  - i don't think anyone but my sister will read this.  so she can copy the recipes and pretend to have thought of the cool outfit herself.  oh - also i have a shopping problem, maybe if i post the things i like and want i won't buy them, no?  anyone?  this is weird.

we are waiting for my dads friend to send us antlers... this is my inspiration.
